AsiaCare Health & Life Insurance Company Limited is Pakistan's first dedicated managed care health insurer. The company is launching innovative health insurance products in the Pakistani market based on the international "Managed Care" model with local adaptations. In Pakistan, AsiaCare is a wholly-owned subsidiary of an American based organization.
Our mandate is to operate health insurance systems and to foster health insurance businesses in the region. AsiaCare is adequately capitalized as a business and is strongly positioned to address the healthcare needs of the region.

Board of Directors
Mr. Nasim Beg
Mr. Nasim Beg is the founder Chief Executive of Arif Habib Investment Management Limited. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 and has had experience both in Industry and the Financial Services Sector, including exposure to the international financial markets.
(Chairman) Is an established Public Sector Executive from the Civil Services of Pakistan with a rich scholastic background achieved through his post-graduations from the Cambridge and the Harvard Universities in the UK and USA respectively. He served as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Italy for four years until July 2007. During his tenure he was endorsed officially to Rome-based UN agencies, in addition to having the honor of being the President of the World Food Programs' Executive Board.
Is a prolific corporate veteran with over 36 years of multifaceted experience in Marketing of petroleum products. He has also served as Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Mr. Kirmani has served as a member on the Boards of Pakistan State Oil Company Ltd; Pakistan Telecommunication; Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan; Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust; Pakistan Tourist Development Corporation; National Academy of Performing Arts; and Chief Scout of PIA.
Is currently serving as President at MCB. He brings with him 25 years of diverse national and international experience in Corporate and Consumer Banking. Mr. Bajwa started his career with Citibank, and later took on assignments in New York and Bahrain. His roles have included being Consumer Banking Head for the Asia Pacific Region as well as being appointed the regional Head for central and Eastern Europe for Citibank where his role covered both corporate and consumer banking.
Is an independent legal and media consultant, as well as a freelance journalist. She has 25-years of experience in media and legal advisory services. Graduating in law from London School of Economics and Political Science, England, she began her career with Chadbourne, Parke and Afridi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates as a law consultant in 1981. She returned to Pakistan in 2003 and joined Daily Times, Karachi, as its Managing Director. She has been a member on the Boards of The Kidney Center, SAARCLAW, HISAAR Foundation and Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
Management
M. Mehdi Kazmi - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kazmi is a practicing neurologist and psychiatrist and Assistant Clinical Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He co-founded, a HMO in Chile and served as this company's CEO. Dr. Kazmi's experience and expertise in the health insurance industry include managing medical loss and risk, utilization management, financial and product design and operations, network formation and management, supervision of sales, operations and medical management.
Mahmud has over 20 years of strategic management and entrepreneurial experience in Pakistan and abroad. He has established several companies in Pakistan & abroad, where his roles have spanned government relations, business development, financial management and distribution. He brings with him administrative, management and sales expertise and is a key resource in establishing AsiaCare's HR and admin departments.
Kashif Naeem-Head of Corporate Sales
Kashif is a hardcore marketer and has played a leadership role in strategic Marketing, Communication & Business Development for different companies. He has more than 16 years of diversified experience in the Telecom, IT and Insurance industries. He holds a masters degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing & Finance. He has exposure of working with blue-chip & multi-national companies including Mobilink, HP, IBM, NEC, and Toshiba. He joined Asiacare from Toshiba where he was heading the IT Division for Pakistan. He has rich experience in corporate sales, retail & channel management.
Before joining AsiaCare, he was working with PICIC Insurance Limited, (a public listed non life insurance company) in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary since Sep. 2004. Before that he was working for IGI Insurance Ltd. (another listed company) in the capacity of Senior Manager in Accounts & Finance Department. He has also worked with Deloitte, Bermuda office, as a Senior Associate.
Muneer has a Masters in Economics from Karachi University. He has over 8 years of experience with some of the largest insurance companies in Pakistan i.e. Adamjee and Shaheen Insurance. He brings with him experience of underwriting, operations & product development.
Message from CEO
AsiaCare's vision is to increase access to health insurance in Pakistan by creating a viable payer mechanism combined with ensuring good quality medical care. Financial worries of how to pay for healthcare in times of sickness in the family leads to a tremendous burden. AsiaCare intends to provide "health security" with innovative health benefit products, such that health insurance & health security is accessible to large segments of society thus addressing this burden.
Our company is excited about the future of the health insurance industry. We believe that the managed care organizational model of health insurance will enable us to become the health insurance provider for all and thereby make health security a right and not a privilege in Pakistan.
